Best Answer

Silva is obviously a Portuguese name, not found in any other Latin language with any remarkable frequency.

While yielding from Portugal, the name came to Brazil and other Portuguese African colonies. While there are Pure European Descent In Brazil and African colonies, It is also common to find african-Brazilians and African descendents who sport the name Silva.

In the case of Isaiah, it is clear he was born in the US and is of European descent (portuguese). But he might also be descendent of Mexicans or other Spanish countries where Portuguese also went to trade and do business.
