I contacted Sir David Jason's agents and asked if there was any truth in this rumour. They replied that Mr Jason says ''there is absolutely no truth in that rumour'' at all. Mr Jason has not been baptized as a Witness, and is not a Witness.
This is an urban myth.
However I find the rumour to be unlikely as individuals normally study The Bible for around 12-18 months before being approved for baptism. In exceptional cases this can be less. Sir David Jason wished his children happy birthday on Twitter less than 6 months ago (Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate birthdays) and he also played the part of a wizard in the Discworld TV series last year (Jehovah's Witnesses do not approve of supernatural entertainment).
Lastly, "David Jason" is his stage name. He would not be known by this name in a congregation or to the Bethel.
Yes he is, he was baptised in Plymouth on Saturday 23rd July 2011.
A man by the name of David Jason may have been baptised at Plymouth, but this does not mean it is the actor David Jason. If he has been baptised then he would not be denying it as Jehovah's Witnesses are not ashamed to admit their religion.
After contacting Sir David Jason's agents, I can confirm that there is absolutely no truth in these rumours. Mr Jason has not been baptized as a Witness, and is not a Witness.
Plus, I have contacted London Bethel, the UK headquarters of Witnesses and they confirm that there were no baptisms on Sunday at Plymouth, the rumoured day and location of his baptism. This is an urban myth.
David Jason the English actor, highly unlikely. After telephoning London Bethel (headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses in UK) they confirmed that there were no baptisms on Sunday 24th July 2011.
Not good to affirm stuff without knowing all the facts - and the "facts" supporting this assertion are contradictory. Anyway, he's just a bloke, albeit a very entertaining one.
Conclusion: Not enough actual evidence to say he is, so best left alone.
I rang London Bethel, the UK headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses, and asked if there were any baptisms on Sunday 24th July 2011 at Plymouth convention. Answer= NO.
They are always held on a Saturday. A person named David Jason may have got baptized on the Saturday 23rd. But the chances of Sir David Jason the actor getting baptized on Sunday appear to be zero according to London Bethel.
If you mean Sir David Jason, the English actor, NO seems to be the answer.
If it is any other person with the name David Jason, then statistically, in the English speaking world there is probably a David Jason baptized Witness somewhere.
I do not think so, I have not heard or seen any thing about this any where what so ever... Maybe do a web search as that MIGHT chuck something up but I doubt it will...
Sir David Jason the actor, no.
Any other 'David Jason' quite possibly.
No. she isn't .

Nope
To the best of my knowledge this individual is not one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

There is no restriction concerning how materially rich one of Jehovah's Witnesses can be. This is a matter of personal decision and personal circumstances.
There are quite a few. Hank Marvin of The Shadows is one; Prince is another.
To the best of my knowledge this individual is not one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
I think there is one at the Related Link.
Sherry Sheppard (of the View) has claimed that she was once one of Jehovah's Witnesses
To the best of my knowledge, no she was not.She was raised around Witnesses when she was younger, but is not one currently.
