NO. Spain and Portugal are two separate and independent countries. However, from 1580-1640, the crowns of Spain and Portugal were united under the Habsburg King Philip II (Felipe II in Spanish), who had previously ruled Spain and acceded to the Portuguese crown through contested inheritance. In 1640, there was a Portuguese rebellion which successfully made Portugal independent again.
