rover
On January 15th 2004 the Spirit Rover has rolled off its lander to start its exploration of Mars. The first journey was only three meters. It took the rover about 78 seconds, ending with the back of the rover being 0.7 meters from the lander.
A rover had an advantage over a lander because its satellites.A lander is just a space vehicle that is designed to land on a celestial body (as the moon or a planet).
the difference between a probe and a lander is a lander is a spacecraft that desends and comes to rest on the surface of a planet/space object. while a probe is a device used to collect items and run tests to collect data.
A rover is a type of space probe designed to move around on the surface of a moon or planet. Rovers are equipped with wheels or tracks for mobility and are controlled remotely from Earth or by onboard computers. Examples of rovers include NASA's Mars rovers like Curiosity and Perseverance.
The last space probe to land on Mars was the Mars Phoenix lander which arrived about 16 months ago and is still operating. Additionally, the two rovers Spirit and Opportunity are still functional, even though Spirit has been stuck in a sand bog for about 3 months now.The Opportunity rover is currently studying a meteorite that was laying on the surface of Mars.

The Mercury Messenger is an orbiting space probe observing the planet Mercury. We generally reserve the word "rover" for a tracked or wheeled vehicle which moves around on the surface, and we haven't tried to do that yet.
Currently, there are several active space probes operating around Mars. These include NASA's Perseverance rover, InSight lander, MAVEN orbiter, and Curiosity rover, as well as the ESA's Trace Gas Orbiter.
The rocket carrying it was launched June 10, 2003.
Actually, there are very many space probes out there, like Cassini, Voyagers 1 and 2, Spirit and Opportunity, Galileo, the Viking Lander, and many more.
