We've been studying high school Biology. It seems that homotroph is a synonym for autotroph (basically, a producer, or an organism that makes its own food through photosynthesis). Therefore, a red panda is a heterotroph (which eats food rather than makes its own food).
Heterotroph. It relies on other organisms for food.
yes. it gets its energy from digesting food that has been manufactured by other organisms.
A polar bear, like all mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, and fish, is a heterotroph. An autrotroph is an organism capable of making its own food, like plants.
Like all bears, polar bears are considered carnivores. They are in fact, the most carnivorous of the bear family.
the polar bear is an carnivore
Heterotroph
killer whales are animals.
Killer Whales are heterotroph. It is mostly plants who are autotroph. Autotroph means organisms that produces their own food and heterotroph rely on other plants and/or animals as a source of food.
An autotroph (self + feeding) is an organism that makes it own food using light energy or chemosynthesis. Examples are plants and algae.A heterotroph (different + feeding) uses organic (living) carbon for growth. Examples are animals, fungi and bacteria.A fish is an animal and does not make its own food, so it is a heterotroph.
The viper-fish is a heterotroph.
