He resorted to that to get food he needed. Although it wasn't the right choice, perhaps, it had nothing to do with Tigerstar. (However, Tigerstar did pounce on this opportunity to insult kittypet roots. 'Once a kittypet, always a kittypet.' Gosh darnnit, Tigerstar - quit hating the kittypets. ;) )
