UNO is a good school for the sciences. Engineering etc. But if you have New Orleans as the place that you must attend college, then the best school for Pre Med would more than likely be Xavier University, Loyola, or Tulane. Xavier has a better Pre Pharm program. It all comes down to your performance on the MCAT and how well you maintain an acceptable GPA, which is hard at UNO. One lesson that I have learned on which is better versus which is lesser is this question: What do you call a med student who finishes last in their graduating class? Answer?.........Doctor.
As long as you get in and not drop out or flunk out of med school then it doesn't matter. Here are 3 things you need for pre med schools.
1. Community service and school activities.
2. double digits on the MCAT score.
3 a 3.2 GPA or better.
4. Pass the Pre Med interview. Believe it or not there are many people with 4.0 GPA and a 27 out of 45 ( 9 average ) failed to get into med schools because the failed the interview.
there are a few things in the discussion area that will help you decide or let you know what to expect of UNO.

You can find information about requirements for med school at the following sites...https://www.aamc.org/students/applying/requirements/msar/ or ttps://www.aamc.org/students/applying. Good luck with your future studies.
Oklahoma Baptist University has a pre-med program that 90% of the students get accepted into med school
get good grades
No- in fact, they don't typically accept UVa undergrads into their med-school other than the top, top, top students. They want more variety. If you want to go to UVa for med school, go somewhere else with a good premed program.

There is no appropriate answer to this question because it is not a question. I cannot this of anything more to add since there was nothing asked and this is just silly!
Harvard University or Johns Hopkins
About 40 if you are in sports more 50 if med 60+ or 70 if in study
Harvard University does not have a specific pre-med major, but it offers a pre-med track through its liberal arts and sciences curriculum. Students interested in medical school typically choose majors in the sciences, such as biology or chemistry, while completing the necessary coursework for medical school admission. The university also provides resources and advising for pre-med students to help them navigate the application process.
8 years. 4 pre-med and 4 med school. Good luck and God Bless:)
All students are classified as undergrads until they graduate from an institute of higher learning. Students are typically referred to as "undergrads" by their professors and/or students that are in post-graduate degree programs like med school, dentistry, law school, M.B.A.
