I don't think so details agency is bogus
It stands fot Universal Accreditation Agency For Online Education. The UAAOE has been around for over ten years
Swiss Management Center is accredited by ACBSP (www.acbsp.org) , a CHEA recognized accreditation agency. The ACBSP is not a US Department of Education approved accredation agency. SMC also does not hold any accreditation by the Swiss government. Their degrees are illegal to use in many US states.
it is but its not worth it it is not recognized by the military or most colleges <><> Lorenz High School claims accreditation by 1) Accreditation Council for Distance Education (ACTDE) and 2) International Accreditation Association for Online Education (IAAFOE) both of which are unrecognized and fake agencies according to the Council on Higher Education Accreditation and the U.S. Department of Education (see the Related Link below) and you're advised to proceed with caution if dealing with them
XAVIERS International University, X.I.U. House, Bali, Goa is an Autonomous University Since 1965 & First Online University of India since 1994 , which has got International accreditation by the World Online Education Accrediting Commissions-U.S.A , Unicef International Accreditation Agency for Online Universities ( I.A.A.O.U. ) and the Universal Council for Online Education Accreditation ( U.C.O.E.A.).
The school is not accredited by any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE) or Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Neither of the organizations from which Belford claims accreditation, the International Accreditation Agency for Online Universities (IAAOU) and the Universal Council for Online Education Accreditation (UCOEA), are recognized accreditation associations of higher learning. Without recognized accreditation, Belford's degrees and credits might not be acceptable to employers or other academic institutions, and use of degree titles may be restricted or illegal in some jurisdictions. It depends on the type of school, the type of accreditation sought, and the amount of time it takes the institution to fulfill the requirements particular to the accrediting agency. It may take years, from applying as a candidate, to actual conferral of the accreditation. Colleges and universities accredited by legitimate agencies generally undergo a rigorous review of the quality of their educational programs. If a school has been accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency, it's probably legitimate. Many diploma mills claim to be "accredited," but the accreditation is from a bogus, but official-sounding, agency they invented. Education laws vary from state to state, contact your education department in the state you live in for more information.
There are many ways to find that out. One can check out with the accreditation agency. They gladly provide information regarding verification of a university or college's accreditation. Accreditation itself is a proof of the legitimacy of quality education.
Beware of the many diploma mills that claim to be "accredited," but the accreditation is from a bogus, but official-sounding, agency they invented. Some diploma mills have slick websites, and a "dot-edu" Web address doesn't guarantee legitimacyYou can use the Internet to check if a school is accredited by a legitimate organization at a new database of accredited academic institutions, posted by the U.S. Department of Education at www.ope.ed.gov/accreditation.To find out if an accrediting agency is legitimate, check the list of recognized national and regional accrediting agencies maintained by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation at www.chea.org.
To verify, whether an online educational setup is fake or not, we should have to investigate the accreditation status of it first. Regarding Woodfield High School, when we look at its website, it looks very attractive with a proof of its accreditation from Universal Accreditation Agency for Online Education (UAAOE). <><> Checking out the accreditation, etc. of Wood field Online High School, turns up the only information on the UAAOE is in the school's own information, only. A reverse telephone search on their number turned up "no information". With no address or telephone number, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) could provide no information. As to whether the school or that accrediting agency is legitimate, consider the Related Link below and draw your own conclusions.
You can use the Internet to check if a school is accredited by a legitimate organization at a database of accredited academic institutions, posted by the U.S. Department of Education at www.ope.ed.gov/accreditation. (There are a few legitimate institutions that have not pursued accreditation.) To find out if an accrediting agency is legitimate, check the list of recognized national and regional accrediting agencies maintained by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation at www.chea.org. Accredited colleges and universities in the United States are accredited by regional accreditation associations, such as the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, etc. Although each one of these associations accredits only schools within its region, the credits from a regionally accredited institution are generally recognized by a regionally accredited institution in any other region. For instance, if you earned 30 credits at Boston University and then transferred to the University of Oregon, the U of O would accept your credits, even though the two schools are accredited by different regional associations. Certain programs within the university may be accredited by a national accreditation body specific to that discipline (for instance, the Psychology Degree would be accredited by the APA), but if the entire school claims to be "nationally accredited" I would view it with suspicion. Also, beware of any school that claims to be accredited by the "International Accreditation Agency for Online Universities" or by the "Universal Council for Online Education Accreditation"; neither one of these are recognized accreditation associations. Remember, a diploma mill can easily make up their own bogus accreditation association (with an impressive name, of course) and then grant themselves "full accreditation." It's very easy! There are six regional accrediting agencies that are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and CHEA. These agencies accredit entire institutions. Each agency has a searchable database of the schools that it accredits on its website.
