About 50% of the active compounds in Adderall are Dextro-amphetamine salts, the other half being two racemic amphetamine salts. So, Adderall consists of roughly 75% Dextro-amphetamine, the ultimate active metabolite of lisdexamfetamine, and 25% Levo-amphetamine. There are also differences in their pharmacokinetics. Adderall comes in immediate and extended release formulas. Vyvanse has a very long effetcs duration, longer then the extended release Adderall. I would take Vyvanse in the morning and always be good for the rest of the day, while the Adderall XRs wore off earlier.
