No. A number of cities have served as the place where the continental congress met. Most often it was Philadelphia PA, but Trenton NJ, Lancaster PA, York, PA, Baltimore MD, and New York City have served as capitals at one time or another.


From 1780 onwards Washington DC has been the US Capital.
