The weight limit for the wii fit board is 330 pounds. If the a weight above this limit is placed on the board, a message will be will be displayed that the wii cannot weight what's on the wii fit board.
Yes, it has been shown effective and enjoyable in weight loss. The best thing is that it is an enjoyable workout! It will tell you where you are with your levels and weight loss and how well you are doing. I wasn't able to find statistics regarding Wii Fit, but there are many articles out there claiming that this is the best thing that has happenned to them. One in particular that caught my eye was this one http://www.wired.com/gamelife/2008/03/me-and-wii-fit/. It is of a person which used Wii Fit for the period of one month and is reporting his results of using the game console. Good Luck.
According to the scientist that study weight loss, a child who is obese can or cannot lose weight using Nintendo Wii. Primarily Wii does not help children to lose weight, but you can easily set a goal for yourself on wii fit and use that plus other exercising techniques and food diets to help children lose weight.
Obviously, there is more than one weight loss programme out there. The key to finding the best options is to search for those that follow the fundamentals. A programme cannot be effective if it does not combine a healthy diet with regular, intense exercise. With that in mind, an individual should avoid anything that does not fit that criteria. However, there are many ways to achieve those requirements, so a person should keep an open mind. Quite a few options out there can help an individual achieve their weight loss goals without a hassle.
It depends on how much you eat, but if the Wii gets you more active you should lose weight, or at least slow down the rate at which you put it on. Note that some games are better than others for weight loss. Look for games that will give you a sustained increased heart rate for at least 30 minutes.
not really. Wii fit will help you lose weight. (There is one catch though. You have to get up off the couch and use it.)

Wii Fit does not have a calorie counter. It tracks your weight and BMI (body mass index) against the target weight/BMI you select. As you exercise, it tracks how many minutes you spend per session. **Wii Fit Plus does track the calories burned.
It helps you lose weight as it has games such as wii fit and wii fit plus which have manyexercises on the basis of strength, yoga, aerobics and balance games to improve your posture. These games require the wii balance board and wii fit plus has all these exercises but they are more advance and the game also tells you what to eat. These games measure your weight , centre of balance , you can set how pounds you want to reduce in certain time. I have a wii and i reduced 5 pounds in a week.
Wii Fit Plus has more activities than Wii Fit & is better than Wii Fit.
