Physically yes but it is HIGHLY recommended you don't. GSD's have one of the highest rates of CHD (canine hip dysplasia) and x-rays to determine if your dog has it or is susceptible cannot be done until the age of 2 years. X-rays must be done and sent in to OFA (your vet will do that) for evaluation. It takes between 3 and 6 weeks usually for results to come back. CHD is genetic in many instances and if you breed dysplastic dogs you are dooming their puppies to a lifetime of pain. Other tests needed for German Shepard Dogs are elbows (done the same time as hips), testing for Von Willebrand's disease, cardiac, and eyes. Many things cannot be tested for but in this breed ALL of those things should be done prior to breeding.
