It depends on how someone defines the word better. There are a lot of 1911 loyalists and a lot of Glock loyalists. A 1911 is very reliable (except a few specific brands) and the Glock is very reliable. Assuming we're talking about a .45 ACP and not the .45 GAP cartridge, both guns fire the same bullet, so there's no difference in regards to that.
