The recommended gas-to-oil mix for a Mercury 35hp outboard engine typically is 50:1, which means 50 parts gasoline to 1 part 2-stroke oil. It's essential to use high-quality, TC-W3 rated 2-stroke oil for optimal performance and engine longevity. Always consult the owner's manual for the most accurate specifications and any potential updates.

To replace the impeller on a 35hp Mercury outboard motor, first, ensure the engine is off and disconnect the battery. Remove the lower unit by unscrewing the bolts and disconnecting the shift linkage. Take out the old impeller from the water pump housing, clean the area, and then install the new impeller, ensuring it is oriented correctly. Reassemble the lower unit and reconnect the battery before testing the motor.

The SLE is a Limited Editon Sedan with the 3.8 fuel injected V6. The SSEi is the sportier version with a Eaton Supercharger which ads about 35hp to the same engine. At least, in my experience. There may be some smaller engines in the SLE but the SSEi, I believe, always has the 3.8.
The FD 16 A is a 1962 model 18 Hp motor.
