30-06 is a fine cal. for deer but the recoil may be too much for an 11 year old. Many grown men will shy away from it. A 260-270-280-or 243 would be a better start. My suggestion is an american standard- the 30-30. Still a stout recoil, but all four of my daughters have handeled it well.
1958 model 70 Winchester 3006 good condition
Yes
depends on what model it is as well as the age. need more details on the rifle.
Yes- a very good deer rifle.
A 223 would be fine for a deer rifle but you need to make sure the (youth) person can hit the kill zone. I would suggest the 243.
(it good for whitetail deer with 100grain bullet) (and awsome for varmits with 55 grains bullet )
Anywhere from $150-$700. Depends on the rifle. Some can be MUCH more expensive. For hunting deer sized animals, a good quality bolt action rifle in .308 can be had for around $250.
.223 (maybe) definitely a .243. The BEST deer rifle is a 25-06 (Long story short .223 = good not much effect, .243 = GREAT for beginner, later on you will want a 25-06. 2-06 = BEST!)
most enthusiasts will agree that the M4 is an excellent weapon. Hunters will not agree that the .223 caliber is good for deer hunting. the popular calibers for deer will be 30-06, .243 winchester, 30-30, and .308 winchester.
Yes.A fine made rifle in a great caliber.I had one in .308Win and loved it.That rifle took many deer.
Your rifle is a Marlin (Winchester 30-30 is caliber). Value will be based on condition, but somewhere between $225-$350 for Good to Excellent. Great little deer rifle.
