Well, it is .22 caliber, not gauge. And the answer is- it depends. There were several models under the Garcia name- some good, some ...... OK.
Please state the model of the daisy 22 Caliber gun, or is it a rifle?
i bought mine off of a used gun rack in good condition for $400
The value of a Springfield model 245-E 20 gauge 22 caliber over-under gun depends on its condition. This gun in excellent condition is valued between 350.00 and 425.00 as of 2014.
AFAIK, there has never been a 22 gauge shotgun. 20 and 24 yes, but no 22. A 20 gauge would put a small hole in a ceiling, depending on how construced and the type of ammunition use. Caliber refers to rifles and handguns. A 22 caliber will not do what you mention.
1. Take it to a gunsmith and have it checked out. 2. If the gun is marked .22 LR than it is designed for the .22 Long Rifle cartridge. If the gun is in good condition, then that is the cartridge that the gun can shoot. Have fun.
Single shot 22 LR
There is no 22 gauge firearm manufactured by anyone. If it is a 10, 12, 16 20, 24, 28 or 410 gauge it is a shot gun. If it is a 22 calibre rifle, it should be marked on the top or side of the barrel, forward of the receiver.
That all depends on which gun. A good .22 rifle may cost $150-200. A good pump shotgun- $250-350. A good .22 target pistol- about $350-400. But there are .22 rifles, shotguns and pistols that can sell for thousands of dollars.
