It is a beetle in the family of the Dung beetle.
It is obviously green, and has a shiny brown gold coating on its underside.
It has spiny legs used in aid for digging into dirt.
They are active during daylight hours, often staying in the shade of trees near choice breeding grounds to find mates. They make a loud buzzing sound similar to that of large bees.
