Is a Yeti a type of monkey?

According to DNA evidence Yeti, Bigfoot, Sasquatch, ect are genetically between humans and chimps. Humans and chimps share %99 of the same DNA so Yetis and relatives are closer to us than even chimps. I think of them as the 'missing link'. I think it's only a matter of time before a body if found.

There has never been any type of study on Yeti DNA published in a peer-reviewed journal, so the first answer is extremely unreliable in that regard. Chimps and bonobos are still our closest living relatives. But if the Yeti was a real creature, it would be some type of an ape. Apes and monkeys are distinguishable by their anatomy and lifestyle. Apes are tailless, have robust skeletons, and spend much of their time on the ground, while monkeys have prehensile tails, weaker skeletons, and spend much of their time in trees. Yeti are often describe as large bipedal apes. Despite this, the snow macaques of Japan serve as a good example of how a primate would be able to survive in such a cold climate.
