Arctic foxes diet consists of many small mammals such as hares and lemmings. Arctic foxes will also eat small birds. If they can get them, the Arctic fox will also eat eggs, carrion, fish. When food is scarce in winter they may even eat seal pups.

The Arctic fox is an omnivore.
The Arctic foxes are omnivores. Arctic foxes usually follow polar bears when they scavenge, but when they hunt they hunt lemmings, Arctic hares, and eggs. During April and May the Arctic Fox also preys on seal pups because they are so helpless.
