This question is really subjective to the owner of the establishment. For obvious reasons a real bakery display would be more eye appealing to the all the senses of the customer, but you have to weigh in the balance of how much you are wasting in ingredient by having it, if it is not selling ... In which case a painted display might benefit your establishment better.
