The top number is fine could be lower, but the bottom one is a high. I had BP of 140/98 on avrage (I had a fever for a week when I took the readings, might have contributed to the high lower number). Its been a month and iv cut down on sodium, started drinking almost a gallon of water, and 30 minutes of aerobic exercise; now my BP ranges around (111-132)/(65-75) over the day. I am 22 year old male and I was prescribed mediacation but figured I was too young for it, so instead I have made lifestyle changes and it works.
Well, according to this chart (http://www.vaughns-1-pagers.com/medicine/blood-pressure.htm), yes that is a little high. It's reached the hypertension stage, so be careful!
blood pressure 132/55
I am assuming you mean 134/100. This would be considered high blood pressure (hypertension).
Blood pressure at or above 140/90 is considered high blood pressure. Conversely, pressures below 100/60 (or in some cases, 90/60) are considered low blood pressure.
Yeah it is!................Normal should be 120 over 80!
Very common since there is alot of obese people today.High blood pressure is very common and affects an equal number of men and women.About 33 in 100 men and women in the United Kingdom have high blood pressure.[1]About 60 in 100 people with high blood pressure are not being treated.[1]Out of those who are being treated, 50 in 100 still have high blood pressure.[1]About 20 in 100 heart attacks are caused by high blood pressure.[i have high blood pressure my self and i am only 16, had it since i was 12 and i ain't "fat"..http://www.guardian.co.UK/lifeandstyle/besttreatments/high-blood-pressure-how-common
These numbers show high blood pressure for a 43 year old male. Blood pressure is as follows for men: Minimum 112 over 79 Average 125 over 83 Maximum 137 over 87
need to know how old you are but YES this is low we treat patients that have a blood pressuer lower than 100 mm/systolic first question are you taking medications or have an underlying condition.
No, it is high. The 135 isn't too bad but the 100 is definitely high. An ideal blood pressure would be 120/80 but 130/90 it the upper limit of normal. You need to consider the conditions under which your blood pressure was taken. Under extremes of stress, eating certain foods and other conditions everyone's blood pressure goes up. Also, there are proper body positions combined with the blood pressure meter position to get accurate readings. If the readings you gave are consistent when measured repeatedly for a few days and at different times of the day I would discuss it with your doctor. See link below for ranges of blood pressure
The blood pressure is kinda low and the diastolic number is very low. Normal blood pressure for a healthy man is 120 over 80. If your blood pressure has been like this your entire life then that may be normal for you.
Anxiousness can increase overall blood pressure. Calming down helps :} If your diatolic is over 90, you need to consider controlling it. Over 100 and you need to stop considering and just do it. Much higher than that calls for hospitalization.
Blood pressure of 90 over 70 and a pulse rate of 68...are they normal/ Yes, the BP is a little low but the heart rate indicates that the body can handle it.
If you're healthy, then it will be between 100/70 and 120/80.
High Blood Pressure "Hyper" is High "Hypo" is Low Tension is Blood Pressure Hyper would be anything over 150 systolic and 90 diastolic Hypo would be anything lower than 100 systolic top number systolic, bottom diastolic
