Yes. The bullet is only the projectile. A bullet with case, powder, and primer is a cartridge. A cartridge without powder or primer is called a dummy cartridge because it will fit into a firearm but will not fire. Dummies are used for non firing training with weapons, and for display purposes.

What is a round of a gun?

A round is not the same thing as a bullet. A round of ammunition has 4 components. The bullet is the projectile that comes out of the barrel when you pull the trigger, The primer is the component that ignites the powder when it is struck by the firing pin or striker. When the powder is ignited by the primer it burns rapidly which creates expanding gasses that push the bullet out of the barrel. When you combine a case containing the correct amount of powder along with a primer to ignite the powder and a bullet inserted into the case you have a round of ammo. A bullet is not the same thing as ammo. Without the other 3 components a bullet is just a harmless chunk of lead.

How bullets work?

A bullet is the part of a cartridge that is fired from the gun. A cartridge consists of a cartridge case, primer, powder, and the bullet. The primer is struck by the firing pin, and explodes. In doing so, it ignites the gunpowder. Rapidly burning powder produces a rapidly expanding gas. This pushes the bullet out of the barrel.

What is the substance present in the bullet?

I'm not sure if this is what you mean, but the parts of a cartridge are: case, primer, powder charge, bullet. "Bullet" is very commonly used to refer to the cartridge, but by true definition, the bullet is only the piece of lead or whatever material it happens to be made from.

How many grains of powder in a 44 magnum bullet?

BULLETS are the metal projectile- the thing that comes out of the barrel- and contain no powder. The entire round of ammo is a CARTRIDGE (case, primer, powder, bullet). And there is no one answer for a .44 magnum cartridge- powder charge will vary, depending on WHICH powder is used, and which weight of bullet.
