I would say not. If you came around a corner in the road that had a "wash board" you could lose control of the vehicle.
Yes, Camry 99 has struts on the front as well as on the back.
Struts on the front , but motorcraft.com lists shocks and struts for the back ( I'm confused ! )
it has rear shocks
No, shocks.
how much is it going to cost me to replace the back struts on my Nissan maxima
Both shocks on the front, struts on the back depending on the make it might have it both ways!
I was just quoted $1,300 to replace front struts only (does not include rear struts.) Jetta GLI 2003 with 120,000+ miles.
bad back struts
front struts go behind the wheels and in the front and rear shocks go in the back
This could be because of bad struts or you pulled a trailer that was over the maximum weight of your vehicle and it strained the struts too much cause it to sit lower in the back. You'll probably need new struts be put on your vehicle which is not a cheap job.
no the struts don't need to come off but make sure you have a way to compress the springs when you go to put it back together. when i say no they don't need to come off i mean completely off but the bottom needs to disconnect from the spindle.
The shocks or if it has them, the struts, are worn out, and need to be replaced.
