Massage Therapy
The easiest way to learn about massage therapy is to a thorough search on the internet for it. There is some bad things that it can cause also, so it's better to do a thorough serch on the good things about it and also the bad things that can happen.
No, it is neither bad nor unusual to go through a long period of reflection and consideration before settling on a definite career choice.
Bad Therapy was created in 1996.
Massage Therapist. “Masseuse” is a French word that refers to a female who practices massage. (Males in the industry were known as “masseurs.”) However, due to certain unsavory connotations with the term (as well as the need for more gender neutral terminology), “massage therapist” is preferred
My opinion would be pharm tech it is way more promising. The medical field is always looking for help and new people. I f the world were to up and start going bad or falling apart you would be needed for your knowledge and skills in helping people. Pharm tech's usually earn a little more overall, but if you want a rewarding career helping people, massage therapy is just that. Drugs usually don't really end up helping people feel better, not like a decent massage. In some cases drugs are vital and necessary. Then again so is massage. As far as healing goes all of the healing that ever takes place happens within our own bodies by our own bodies. Massage can help people in pain without drugs. Some therapists (like me) make upwards of $100 an hour plus tips. It pays the bills and I don't have to work eight hours a day or forty hours a week either. If the world were, as stated above, "..to up and start going bad..." a massage career might be pretty well received by those in need of some good stress reduction. Massage is a general term and there are many different types of massage to choose from. As drug companies are coming under scrutiny more and more, massage therapy is growing in it's use in the medical field as well as the spas and healthclubs. Insurance companies are even paying for treatments in a few states like WA and FL. Be careful about which school you choose if you choose massage, not all schools are equal. Get a lot of referrals from local therapists on which school(s) they recommend. You will make the most in whatever career you are drawn too if you are passionate and inspired by what you do. Most massage therapists start their own business but there are some jobs out there that pay more than the entry massage salary of $15 an hour. No. They are not bad for you. Getting a massage on a massage chair is a bit different than lying on a table. For example, the massage will be shorter and will focus more on rejuvenating and energizing you so you can feel refreshed rather than sedated, which is more likely going to happen in a longer massage. If you are a practitioner, then they are not bad for you as long as you know how to use them and set your massage program. Also, which brand are you buying. I own a massage chair from OSIM which I use regularly and it hasn't caused any problems for me. OSIM Massage Chairs are really worth the spend.
First of all, a better word to use besides 'bad' is 'compromised.' It sounds less judgmental and leaves room for improvement.Yes. It is quite possible to do massage, depending on the modality. There are some that only use the feet, like Ashiatsu. There is also Zen Shiatsu and Thai Massage that uses the feet, knees, and forearms, in addition to the hands. Then there is Reiki and Therapeutic Touch which does not require contact with the body at all.The only modalities that you may have trouble with, and need to be very cautious about are Swedish, Deep Tissue, and Neuromuscular Therapy. These can be very demanding on your hands, so do them sparingly, or adapt other parts of your body, besides your hands, to do them. For example; there is a variation of Ashiatsu where you can do Swedish Massage with your feet.
