more info on question
A clear plastic 30 oz drinking cup with PS under sign with a number 6 and company who sells them tells me
The item in question is made from High Heat Styrene and has a recycling symbol of #6. However, all of the resins we use in the production of our beverage containers have been FDA approved for food contact. They contain no Bisphenol A or BPA.
does that mean I can drink Orange Juice, Soy milk or water from this cup?
thanks
Foam - styrofoam is an excellent insulator. With a hot drink - you want it to remain hot - so you do NOT want heat to move out of the drink to the cooler outside. The styrofoam vastly reduces this heat flow. With a cold drink, the reverse is true. You want it to remain cold so you do not want heat to move from your hand or the outside atmosphere into the drink. The styrofoam vastly reduces this heat flow.
During a clear night, as heat absorbed by the earth during the day seeps out, the atmosphere allows the heat to pass through. During a cloudy night, however, the clouds catch and retain the heat in the atmosphere.Clouds trap heat being reflected from the earthThe heat radiation lost from the earth gets reflected by the clouds back to the earth, warming it. Whereas on a clear night it just escapes into space.
That simply means that the lid will reduce the heat transfer.
It is not clear what sort of energy you are talking about. In the case of heat: heat has a natural tendency to flow from hotter objects to colder objects. If your house is hotter than the surroundings, then heat energy will flow out of it.
Heat can be subtracted by conduction to another object or system at a lower temperature (requires contact between the objects or systems) or by radiating heat to another object or system (does not require contact - just a clear path for the radiated heat to move through)
Heat (300º?) styrene oxide in a closed system, you will obtain a mixture of styrene oxide and phenyl acetaldehyde. IIRC you can heat at reflux S.O. and some kind of silica catalyst with a solvent and obtain that same product.
Wood is the best insulator of heat. Copper is the best conductor of heatwood chips, styrene, and any fabric with lots of air pockes

Do not apply moist heat or vigorously rub the muscles. Rest and replenishing electrolytes should resolve the problem. However, if heat cramps do not improve within 1 to 2 hours, call your doctor or visit an ER.
it absorbs it. there is no such thing as cold energy, and even less so "cold particles," only heat flow.
the spoon is metal and metal conducts heat , if you put a metal spoon in a drink the drink will retain the heat but if you take it out it's like your taking a whole lot of heat, in other words a metal spoon is like a magnet of heat it you remove the spoon it will remove heat but if you keep it in the heat will stay.shoraye khatter.
yes because when dogs get a heat they need a drink otherwise they will passout
A bag that will retain heat needs to be a good insulator of heat. Clear poly bags aren't good enough at insulating heat to keep food hot for very long.
If you heat them up.
Melting requires energy: the heat energy in your drink is used to melt the ice.
Every skater can skate in the heat if he or she can handle it! drink lots of water!
