What is heating of the land and water?

during the daytime it is called a sea breeze. the sun produces radiation which heats up the earths surface. high pressure is over the water and low pressure is over the land. the land heats up faster because the molecules on land are more densely packed than the ones in water. as one molecule on land heats up it touches another making it heat up quickly. the molecules in water are more spread apart so once one is heated up it takes longer to touch another molecule so by the time it touches another molecule it has already started to cool off. during the nighttime it is called a land breeze. high pressure is over the land and low pressure is over the water. the sun has set so it stops heating up. the water cools off slowly and has been heated all day, so its warmer than the land. land cools off quickly, which creates the high air pressure. hope this helped :) 8th grade science
