Usually your coffee cup is no measuring cup. The measurement of one cup is always 8 fluid ounces. The coffee cups in my cabinet range from a tiny 4-ounce demitasse to 16 ounce mugs. You can find larger ones. And I suppose smaller, too.
Beakers have different sizes.
Beaker.

You can either call it a tumbler or a beaker. A Bowl.
A Beaker is a deep cup or glass with a wide mouth and usually a lip for pouring. Credit to Wikipedia
Until they are destroyed, yes.
Volume is simply a way of measuring stuff in an x ammount of pressure. You can measure the density of something which will remain the same no matter what, the size of the object can change but the ammount of particles will always stay the same.If I were to measure the volume of pint of water it would measure 1pint and it would fill a pint glass. If I were to throw the water into a black hole the water would still contain the same ammount of matter but it would fit into a cup a million times smaller than a pin head.
