Only if he has his radar gun on. Radar detectors are not cop detectors.
Radar laser detectors and laser jammers are legal to own and operate in passenger vehicles in the state of New York. Currently the only state that it is illegal to operate a radar detector is Virginia and Washington D.C.
Simply... No. The FCC has enough technology to be quite stealthy. Radar detectors are not cop detectors either. Cops can turn their radar units off, just blending into the crowd like everyone else. Why you would ever want to know if the FCC are near by is beyond me. The other thing that is beyond me is why this question is posted in teen dating...
depends on the cop if they are nice probably a warning if there ok a ticket if they are rude most likely severe ticket but get a radar detector good ones like 200 hundred never had one ticket and i do ninety on the freeways
I don't like to be without one. They will let you know the cops are near your car with some limitations. 1. Instant on is hard to beat unless the cop can't keep his finger off the button, which is lucky for us as most instant on is checking the car ahead of you. 2. Lidar is even harder to beat, but there are stray lidar sources that will let you know they are checking traffic ahead of you. (see answer 2). 3. Most of the time they have given me time to slow down providing you are not an extreme speeder. They are most useful in speed (trap), zone stings such as a 25mph zone where you should be allowed to go 35mph. 4. Because of instant on and short range radar, you have to be alert and ready to slam on the brakes at the slightest beep of the radar detector for the detector to be most effective. Don't be afraid to slam on the brakes as cops don't notice you hit the brakes unless they are doing reverse lidar. One cop got me by using lidar on my rear license plate after I had gone by and my lidar detector was not a model that detected from the rear. (cop was very sneaky and a prick too).
motorcycle helmet radar tickets gun siren a cord
it will go on a good day 38 i know someone that is a cop and he got me on radar
Yes, big brother is watching... I was listening to an emergency call on a scanner with some friends years ago and the cop interrupted the girl asking"who else is on the line?" She answered, "nobody", the cop said"somebody is on this line..." And them the scanner switched channels or their trunking system kicked in! Everybody in the room got a little freaked out needless to say. So if they can detect that a scanner is on the channel then certainly they would be able to triangulate the
The frequency of the radar signal does not change. Be it a cop getting you speed, or a modern car with Brake assist (they use a radar signal to assist keeping a safe distance) it's all timing, how long from the radar source to return to source. If a police car is still, and you are moving away, the increase in return of signal time tells the computer in the officer's car your speed. Even if you are going toward each other, the computer knows the speed of the officer's car and again, signal return time factored in with speed of cop car the computer can give an instant, real-time speed.
I think that both are almost the same. Cop is a slang term to denote police. So, both cop training and police academy training both have the same meaning.
They use a radar gun if they want to measure one car at a time, and they use a two-way digital radar if they want to know the speeds of cars in front of where the cop is driving and the car going the other way on the other side of the street.
pop alerts is when a cop has their radar gun off and then he quickly turns it on so there is no way for u to slow down or anything. from my understandings it new radar gun that police are receiving. So watch out because it will be to late for you to slow down.
