Many people think the word 'cuspidor" means the same as a "spitoon." Like in old Westrns (U.S. Movies) A cuspidor is a rather disgusting thing to even SEE. Since many people supposedly SPIT into it, it is a cauldron of bacteria. If your dentist asks you to simply "spit" into a vessel that does not also have water running through it as well as a disinfectant, I think that dentist must be whacky. Ick.

Travel, Dental Care and Dental Tourism There is a growing phenomena called "Dental Tourism" in which people travel to a destination that offers less expensive dental care. The decision to visit another country for dental care should go beyond simply comparing prices or even evaluating the dentists' expertise. What are dentist employees called?

In the dental office the dentist has three main employees that work with him/her. First we have the Office manager which is the employee that runs the front desk. When you call the dental office the office manger is the one that answers your call. Next is the dental assistant this person is the one that makes sure you are comfortable before the dental hygienist arrives. Now the dental hygienist. Now lets go over this again the employees are 1. Office Manager 2. Dental Assistant 3. Dental Hygienist 4. Dentist
