Although it hasn't been proven I would say dogs are less solitary than cats only because dogs are more outgoing and are willing to sniff butts and cats are shyer and total loners.
I have took a test and one of the question was: is a dog more solitary then a cat and the answer was yes a dog is more solitary then a cat
yes, because a cat doesn't just go to the bathroom where ever it would like to unless you have an outdoorsy kind of cat
well my dog and cat get a long well but a mouse is not possible in less the dog is in the middle of course
Cats are accually more solitary than dogs. Dogs like to be around people, while cats are more fickel and solitary. Wolves are members of the canine family, and they hunt in packs. Cheetahs are members of the feline family, and they hunt solitary [alone].
It depends. A cat is less work and you don't have to walk it, but a dog is mans best friend.

The are both solitary cat species.
