The PS Vita was not designed to compete with a Xbox 360 and it is only better at being portable, finding other nearby users, and connecting to the internet with 3G if you have that model. The PS Vita works with the PS3 to make the pair much better than just the Xbox 360. It is a portable unit that has models than can use 3G for an internet connection and other nice features not found in a portable before the PS Vita and is not meant to compete with a full size console, but to work with the PS3. Well, I am an Xbox 360 person and I don't really care for Playstation products that much. -Jacob Maybe you use a Nintendo DS for a portable since Xbox does not have one. Well if the Xbox 360 has a portable unit that you can take with you and connect to the internet with 3G you could compare why they together were better than the PS Vita and a PS3 320 GB System.

'Better' isn't so easily defined.It is accurate to say that the PS Vita has higher specs than the 3DS. However the regular DS models and the Wii have enjoyed vastly higher sales than the technologically superior PSP and PS3/XBox 360.In my opinion, the 3DS is better for the following reasons:Glasses-free 3D.Fits in your pocket easily.Better games (The PS Vita is mostly console ports and remakes)Less Expensive ($210 for 3DS and Game vs. $400 for Vita, Memory Card and Game)Better design (The Vita's analogs are too close to the face buttons)Weighs lessComes in many colors to suit peoples' varied tastes.There are tons of great games and upcoming titles for all types of gamers: Street Fighter, Tekken, Dead or Alive, Resident Evil: Revelations, Super Mario 3D Land, Kid Icarus: Uprising, Mario Kart 7, LoZ: OoT 3D, Star Fox 64 3D, and Heroes of Ruin, just to name a few.
