This really depends on what level of violin playing you're currently at. Fohnwind makes quality beginner violins, but other brands make better advanced violins. Their Fohnwind Model 12 is their beginner violin that many students use to learn to play at the very beginner. After the student plays for two years, the student may want to upgrade to a violin with a deeper tonality or try out an entirely new instrument.
