well it is because it is a wolf think about that
All wolves are related, I guess dogs would be related too. A timber wolf and a grey wolf are related because they're WOLVES. But there species is different thats all. Same with deer, cats, etc.
It's the other way around. Dogs are a subspecies of the Grey Wolf.
the grey wolf
Canis Familiaris
Yes all dogs are descendents of the grey wolf. Domesticated dogs (purebred dogs specifically) have been deliberately bred over time to maintain certain characteristics such as size, temperment, etc.Unfortunitly, yes. The tiny [barely a] dog is a far descendant of the gray wolf.
No, but a timber wolf is a grey wolf. The timber wolf is a subspecies of the grey wolf, which also includes Arctic Wolves, Mexican Gray Wolves, domestic dogs and dingoes (domestic dogs are descended from wolves and considered the same species, canis lupus, though a different subspecies; dingoes are themselves descended from domestic dogs and are also considered canis lupus).
Domestic dogs and dingoes are both subspecies of the wolf.
yes there are some other animal that related to the grey wolf, such as a dog the German Shepherd and coyotes
Because they all come from a wolf.

Dogs originated from the grey wolf. The first "dogs" were most likely wolves who had lived near humans to gain food. Over time, breeding has changed the wolf to what we know as a dog.
all dogs are related to wolves so if you have a dog you also have a wolf because that means I have 7 wolves/dogs.
