I am a woman. This is ridiculous. I don't understand why women seem to think that there are men who are financially responsible to support them. No one is responsible for you but you. You should be able to stand on your own two feet and support yourself, if you cant re-evaluate yourself. Try going back to school, retraining, etc. As a woman I pride myself in the ability to care for myself and my child and get irritated when I see women who EXPECT their men to pay for everything. THis of course would be a NO!

It depends if the dept was in both your names or just in his. If the widow co-signed for any of the credit she will be responsible. If the credit was only in his name, then no she is not responsible. Best advise is to talk to a lawyer
