it's an educated guess
A hypothesis is not a variable...it is something that you think will happen based on reasoning and observations, before doing an experiment.
A hypothesis is what you think will happen in an experiment/problem/ect. Usually it goes something like this: I believe (or "I think that") blahblahblah will happen because when blahblahblah does/mixes with/melts/drops/ectectect. blahblahblah will happen. Something like that.
A hypothesis is a educated guess about how you think something is going to turn out. A theory is a way of how something might happen that has not been proven. A guess is like a hypothesis but not educated.

The Hypothesis of an experiment is your prediction, what you think is going to happen
Hypothesis is merely a guess at what you think is going to happen.
HYPOTHESIS: a hypothesis is what you think will happen. You should try starting it off with my hypothesis is... next it will.... then it will... finally it will...

Hypothesis
A hypothesis is an educated guess as what you think will happen in an experiment. A hypothesis is what you think may happen- so it may or may not be right. After dealing with the experiment, you must create a conclusion. In the conclusion, describe what actually happened and why or why not your hypothesis proved to be true or not.
It should contain what you think will happen (your hypothesis) and why you think this (to back up your belief). Hope this helps!
