The key that allows you to display any letter you type in uppercase is the "Shift" key. When you hold down the Shift key while pressing a letter key, it produces the uppercase version of that letter. Additionally, the "Caps Lock" key can be activated to keep all letters typed in uppercase without needing to hold down the Shift key.
To type capital or uppercase letters, you can use the "Shift" key, which temporarily capitalizes letters when held down while pressing a letter key. Alternatively, the "Caps Lock" key can be activated to make all letters typed uppercase until it is turned off. Additionally, on some devices, you can access uppercase letters through the "Fn" key in combination with other keys.
The Shift key is used to make a few capital letters, but the Caps Lock makes all letters capital until you hit it again!
That is the primary way to create uppercase letters for the ones that have keyboard keys. This is adopted from the same keys used on typewriters.
