It's a hardware
According to the Cisco Academy IT Essentials: PC Hardware and Software textbook...the fuser on the laser printer isn't getting hot enough.
The laser check printing software is more advanced than others due to a tracking laser 'watching' the page for any paper discrepancies and print errors which can be put right before the print is finished.
Print Server types: * Software Print Server ** Microcomputer with print server software installed ** Printed attached to Microcomputer[[Images/Server-Print-new.gif|]] * External Hardware Print Server ** Box with connectors for LAN and parallel connectors for printer * Internal Hardware Print Server ** Card that sits in a printer ** Has parallel ports for printers
A VDU is hardware.
It is a software driven hardware device. Part of the laser printer hardware is an embedded computer (a computer that the user is usually not aware of) that runs the printer mechanism control software stored in ROM (software stored in ROM is usually called firmware, because it cannot be changed as easily as software stored in RAM). This printer mechanism control software coordinates the functions of all the hardware mechanism of the printer and is much smaller than custom designed logic circuits that would do the same thing without an embedded computer.
No, the laser and the electronic hardware are very different.
In order for computers to communicate with specific hardware, a software program, known as a device driver, is required to translate the computer's instruction into a hardware-specific instruction. For instance, the instructions required to print output on a line-printer will differ greatly from the instructions required to print the same output on a plotter or a laser printer. However, the driver software for each provides a common interface to the operating system. thus the same instruction is translated differently according to which driver receives the instruction.
Do you mean: "Do laser printers print in color?"?There are two types of laser printers:1. Black&White Laser Printers - they DON'Tprint in color.2. Color Laser Printers - they DO print in color.
Most financial and softwares are compatible with printing laser checks. Quicken and Quickbooks are too popular titles that you can use to print your own checks.
A scanner is both hardware and software, the device itself is hardware (all devices are hardware) but the driver(a program) that runs it is software.

A microphone is hardware. Software is what programs and games are called.
