Leopards are mammals, and therefore vertebrates (having a backbone/spinal column). All dog and cat species are vertebrates, and so are birds, reptiles, and most fish.

Leopards are members of the vertebrate classification of animals, so they do have a backbone. They are also mammals, all of which have backbones.
