Yes and No at the same time. They both are lake monsters and they maybe prehistoric cryptids that got trap in lakes. However, they both lived in diffenent lakes, in different countries, in different continents, so they made have evoled diffenently. Also the Ogopogo is a serpent like cryptid, while the Loch Ness Monster is a plesiosaurus like cryptid.

photos and other sightings suggest if Nessie exists it may be a kind of plesiosaur which is not a dinosaur.plesiosaurs are aquatic reptiles and they did live in the same time as dinosaurs. however nobody really knows for sure, it may be a mammal or another kind of reptile, if the loch ness monster even really exists.

Help please What is the link between the loch ness and self realization?

The link between the loch ness monster and self realisation? is that what you mean to say or just loch ness and self realisation? If you mean loch ness monster....I would say that there is a mysterious need in the movement toward self realisation to confront the greater primal aspects of self. Many religions maintain terrible tenants, like Satan, shiva, titans of the old testament and even plagues, wrath or pestulance, but for the most part, i think one should consider these things as energies to take for itself. To be truly self realised is probably to realise that you are god. God -the word - means "I am" and god often represents the completed all, the fully finished and supreme. To be god must be enough of a lover to take total resposability for the low and the high. To suffer your own creation, and to hang on to life. Mostly, to go to the heights of self realisation, I think one would need to make of themselves the most compassionate they can be and more. Self realisation, equals total love, equals god. Now the loch ness monster on the other hand...might be monstous fear or monstrous hope...just as a basic symbol, but know this- hope and fear are the same imaginary monster....hope asks you to reach for tomorrow, fear is your reaching into the past....the self realised are like very much in the "now". May all your doings bring joy. oh by the way...the coolbook is "I am That" by sri Nisaragat maharaj. that guy is guru. -regards-stonalone.

Is the lochness monster related to dinosaurs?

Actually, if you read and do your research a lot of the photo's are fake, not real, made up. If you read how people described the "monster" it the same description of a swimming elephant, though the pictures are good they are not real, so don't believe everything you hear. It is likely that the Loch Ness monster does not exist. Though in the most consistent descriptions the loch ness monster most closely matches the deception of a plesiosaur. Plesiosaurs were marine reptiles that existed in the time of the dinosaurs but were not dinosaurs themselves.

Why do some people believe that the loch ness monster is actually a plesiosaur?

The arguments against the existance of the loch ness monster as a plesiosaur are plentiful. For example,a plesiosaur could not live in the frigid waters of loch ness.A single plesiosaur living in loch ness for centuries?Ridiculous. It would have to be a breeding population of them and to prevent inbreeding you would need a HUGE population.Loch Ness couldn't possibly support such a large population, size wise alone. They would need a food supply and the loch couldn't possibly hold that many fish.A large population of plesiosaurs would have easily been spotted by now as they would have to come up for air frequently. Some suggest tunnels that lead from the loch to the ocean and these creatures regularly go back and forth. If that was the case, the loch's water would be the same level as the Atlantic ocean. That's not the case. The vast majority of marine creatures can only survive in salt or fresh water.A salmon can live in both types of water, but that's about the only marine animal that can do so.That's one in thousands of water dwelling species.Salmon are just about the only exception to this rule.A baby whale got stuck in the Delaware river somehow and people were scrambling for a way to get it back to sea, as the fresh water was harming the whale's skin. Also, a plesiosaur carcass has never washed up on shore. With that many dinosaurs living in a lake, that would definitely have happened by now.
