Yes, a 500 stock will fit an 835 and an 835 stock will fit a 500. The 835 is simply a stretched 500 and the stock attachment point is identical. Both the forearms are identical as well.

No, the 835 is a stretched version of the 500 designed to use 3 1/2" shells so the shell stop and interrupter are approximately 1/2" longer than the ones in the 500. They look very similar but they are different lengths.
