All new Macs have Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) installed.
A MacBook will run Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). If the MacBook is currently running 10.5 (Leopard) a copy of Snow Leopard will need to be purchased.
Snow Leopard is the codename of one of the versions Mac OS X, the default operating system of MacBook's and all Apple computers.
The software version available after the leopard version is something called 'Snow Leopard'.
While Snow Leopard can support 8GB the MacBook has two SO-DIMM slots which can hold up to 4GB of RAM.
Apple's Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) can be installed on an Intel laptop if the laptop is made by Apple.
Go to the apple icon in the upper left hand corner of your desktop... Select "About this Mac" if the software version is 10.6 or later, you have snow leopard.
yes you can i already did it. I installed Mac OS X Snow leopard and updated it to 10.6.5...
It already came out!
You will need to contact the software developer of the program you are enquiring about.
Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) will not include iLife '09 as this is a separate product. New Macs that come with Snow Leopard installed will have iLife included.
Snow Leopard is an upgrade to Leopard and so you will need Leopard installed on your Mac before installing Snow Leopard. For Mac computers with an Intel processor running Tiger you will need to purchase the box set that includes iLife 09 and iWork. (See links below)
It depends on wether you have A Intel processor or not. To find out click on the Apple then About This Macthen Look at the Processor line to see which kind of processor is in your Macbook.
