No, a penguin is a flightless bird, while a marsupial is a mammal which rears its young in a pouch.

Some penguins (such as the Emperor Penguin) have a skin flap which they incubate their egg in to stop it freezing but this doesn't make them mammals!

No, a penguin is not a placental. A placental mammal is part of a major group Eutheria. A placental mammal has hair or fur, gives birth to live young and feeds it's young milk. A penguin would be a monotreme.

The penguin is a bird. Like all birds, it has feathers, whereas mammals have fur and amphibians have moist skin. Penguins also do not feed their young on mothers' milk as mammals do. Nor do their young breathe through gills as young amphibians do.

The penguin is an egg-laying bird. It is not a mammal.
