When considering how 'fast' something is moving on earth, you ignore the fact that the earth itself is rotating, that the earth is orbiting the sun, and that the solar system itself is moving through the universe. All you care about is the relative motion between the object, and the earth itself, or another object perhaps.
When light falls on some object, then it absorbs all the colors of visible light spectrum except the color of the object itself which it reflects back (diffusion). So we see the color of the object .
To object something means to either reject or oppose something. To object is a verb that means to disagree or oppose against someone or something.

This sounds very much like a symbol (Something that means itself and something more).
symbol
Beyond.
When something is broken the object itself obviously changes, but what it is made of remains the same.
A "something-oid" is a term meaning "like a something". It should be self-evident that any object is like itself.
