A personal narrative is just a story you. Like a time when you were sad, or a vacation, or a meeting of a relative, your feelings, first day of school, etc. It jus has to be something about you. It is not a letter or anything.
No because narrative is a general topic while personal narrative is a more specific topic. But if we're going to look at their similarities, they are somehow the same thing.....
Personal narrative is a noun. It names a type of story.
A personal statement is a narrative that highlights your personal background, experiences, and goals, while a letter of intent is a formal statement expressing your interest in a specific program or opportunity and outlining your qualifications and intentions.
It's a nice touch, and it keeps the narrative interesting. You could go either way in a personal narrative, though!
The author may switch from narrative writing to a letter in the excerpt to create a more personal and direct communication with the reader. The letter format can enhance emotional impact and convey a sense of intimacy, sincerity, or urgency that may be different from traditional narrative writing.
