Please remember the rule '1 inch of fish needs 1 gallon of water'. Some plastics are not safe because they can release deadly chemicals into the water. If your plastic container is certified safe for containing human foodstuffs/water and it is large enough to contain the fish you wish to keep in it then it should be OK

If your fish will need to be out of water for some time because the distance is great between the tanks a waterproof plastic bag or a bucket is OK. If you will only have the fish out water for a minute or so it should be OK in the net. Just make sure everything is ready for when you catch the fish to move it into the other tank.

That depends on how long the fish will be in transport and how big the fish are. I have used jam jars with lids, Thermos flasks, Buckets and saucepans with lids, Plastic bags that don't leak. If you go to a pet shop they may be prepared to let you have (sell?) some of their plastic bags to you.

Yes it would. Generally any fish will live in tank so long as the environment is correct for that species. Catfish are pretty tough and should be OK.
