Poodles are classed differently in different dog registries. Some class them as Utility dogs, others as Gun dogs and others as Non sporting or even Toy. In the USA American Kennel Club registry standard and miniature poodles are classed in the Non-Sporting Group, and the toy poodle is in the Toy Group.
