A salt tablet is both a compound and a mixture. Here's why:

The salt, itself, is an ionic compound of sodium (Na) and chlorine (Cl). Put 'em together and you get NaCl, which is the compound called, "Table Salt".

However, the NaCl is mixed with other ingredients to let it be packed into a pill form, and to ensure that the pill won't dissolve from moisture in the air before you have a chance to take it.

This part of the pill is what's called a "Dry Mixture".
