A space shuttle is not a plane. It is similar to the design of a plane, but it is only powered when it goes up as a rocket. It comes down as a glider without power, however, the pilot or commander controls it using its control surfaces. It may be similar in the way it looks but it has protective heat plates that prevent it from burning up in the atmosphere.
The Space Shuttle refers to NASA's particular space plane, whereas a space plane encompasses all aircraft which takeoff from Earth's surface into space and then land on return.
the space shuttle travels vertically and the plane horizontally
The Space Shuttle lands like a plane. When it gets to earth, there is a runway and it will land smoothly on the ground.
cube is to space shuttle or 3-D
The shuttle is launched like a spacecraft, flies in space , earth orbit, but it lands like a plane on the runway, it is usable spacecraft.
The space shuttle lands like a plane and is reusable.
The space shuttle is the Modern day rocket that carries astronauts into space. It looks like a plane.
That really depends on the nature of the space plane and the technology used. The shuttle (a space plane) reduced the cost of space flight dramatically and made the payloads larger. But it was mainly due to the reusability and size of the shuttle.
The major difference between a spacecraft and a space shuttle is that the other spacecrafts can not be reused once the do return to the earth with the astronauts. But the shuttle is launched lime a rocket, flys like a plane and lands like a plane on a runway, it is always reusable.
the enterprise was not a space shuttle it was justa a prototype launched off the back of a plane to see how good it could glide back to earth.
People could argue between the Space Shuttle and the Concorde.
they are more powerful than the ones in a plane and a jet pack as they need to lift a 2 tonne space shuttle off and out of earths atmosphere
