Can playing an elite be better then a spartan in Halo 2?

elites and Spartans are both very powerful being in the universe but if i had to pick i would say the elites are better because they are faster, stronger, can jump higher and have more health. i am not bringing this from no where. i was told by a bungie employee about the fundementals

Technically, Elites and Spartan players are evenly matched. All depends on the player. The person's ability to use the weapons given to both species to the best of their abilites are what will win the day. Elites are bigger targets, though, so they are easier to hit. Spartans are weaker health-wise because they can't regenerate HP. Again, it's all on the player.

It depends on the style of game play you are talking about. Say for instance, you are plaaying a Team SWAT match, then the elite is a better choice because of their body type (makes it harder to shoot in the head) also the same for team snipers, but if you play snipers and you are out in the open, say like the level valhalla, then you can easily get two body shots off the elite and not as easily as the spartan. if you mean normal Spartans and normal elites, the elites is a little stronger, if you mean Jorge in Noble team, they are about equal.

They are basicaly equal. Master Chief is probably more physicaly stronger than Jorge. The Master Chief weighs 80lbs more than Jorge, while Jorge is 2in taller than the Chief. So to answer, the Elites may be somewhat stronger than some of the other Spartan 2s, but they are roughly equal.

Well to be honest, after all the biochemical augmentation Spartans must endure before they are fit for combat, a rough 2 ton lift for each arm would be approximate without armor. Master Chief at the age of 14 was able to take out 3 elite ODST soldiers with his bare hands, only after his first augmentation. Multiply that by however many more times until he was deployed, and you have yourself a person who can snap bones like sticks. Not to mention the spartan armor that multiplies the users strength by 2 and reaction speed by 5. Now it makes sense why Spartans are able to flip 20 ton tanks back over on their tracks, and kill an elite with a single punch. Well, I hope I've answered your question.
