The sun is not considered a primary consumer. In an ecosystem, primary consumers are organisms that directly consume producers (plants or autotrophs) for energy. The sun is the primary source of energy for almost all life on Earth, making it the ultimate source of energy in the food chain.
It is a consumer. Even though we eat it, a producer is something that gets its food from the sun. Beef doesn't get its energy from the sun. It gets its energy from a producer, grass.
Lungfish are a consumer as they need food to survive. Producers recieve most of their energy from the sun

The sun starts photosynthesis in plants. This gives the plants sugar for food and it gives off oxygen. Then a first order(herbivore) consumer eats the plant. A secondary consumer eats the first order consumer, and so on.
